Responsibilities

Scope of Responsibility:
- Provides strategic business partnership by providing thought leadership and strong HR expertise and direction.
- Connects our business strategy with internal and external inputs and data analysis, to formulate a recommendation.
- Understands the business through numbers (financial acumen).
- Supports and provides input into change management initiatives that align with the business priorities while maintaining the culture.
- Delivers solutions that align with organizational goals through strategic planning, talent assessment, change management, and team building.
- Executes talent management strategies to support organizational succession planning, team growth, and individual development.
- Supports and delivers core HR programs that are Rhythm of business (Hiring, Performance, Compensation, Talent, and Engagement.
- Facilitates and/or provides Corporate Training to develop Great Partners. This includes leadership coaching, certification programs, compliance, and policy interpretation.
- Partner with HR CoEs in Recruiting, Talent Development, Compensation, Legal, and Organizational Design to implement solutions that scale.
- Exercises confidentiality and demonstrates a strong, neutral Human Resources perspective in all interactions.
- Promotes high professional standards, positive interpersonal relations, and a problem-solving approach in all situations.
- Exhibits a high sense of urgency and self-initiative.
- Exercises a high degree of independent judgment
- Can ask the right questions to drive the proper outcomes.
Education and Experience preferred
- A related degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience
- 3+ years of experience in human resources or related operations experience
- 2+ years of experience in leadership
- Experience in retail
- Exposure to other HR functional areas or equivalent external expertise (e.g., business consulting)
- PHR/SPHR certification
Key Competencies preferred
- Strong working knowledge of employee relations and investigations
- Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Strong project management skills
- PC skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP applications (e.g., PeopleSoft, Workday, etc.)
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to work on complex issues with senior-level leadership
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented work environment
Physical and Other Requirements
- Function in a fast-paced, retail, operations, office environment
- Travel by car or plane with overnight stays
- Work extended hours; sit/stand/walk for extended periods
- Must be readily accessible to Business Partners
- Occasionally lift 10 lbs or more
