As Associate Director for Solution Architecture, you will be responsible for bringing experience and leadership to help set the vision, mission, and strategy for our clients' enterprise digital transformation initiatives. Donning this role, you will work with current and prospective clients to understand their business challenge, recommend the solution that would help achieve desired outcomes, convert this to a formal proposal that includes execution timeline and costs, present to all stakeholders and address all concerns, and ultimately ensure a win for Trianz. Post the closure, the responsibility will continue to help oversee the engagement and guide the delivery teams to achieve the promised results.
The ideal candidate - you - will be responsible for bringing the digital transformation in the app migration and modernization landscape for our clients' bespoke applications and products using cloud-native technologies, microservices, container-based applications, edge computing, intelligent automation, Low-Code / No-Code, IoT, AI, and other emerging and futuristic technologies. While this role is part of the digital practice, deep knowledge of cloud (AWS preferably), data and analytics, and information security will hugely help- transformations are seldom done in isolation and need a comprehensive understanding of the broader technology landscape for holistic solutioning.
Your primary responsibility will also include developing Center of Excellence in the field of application development, migration, and modernization with the latest technologies, open-source frameworks, and other emerging and futuristic technologies.
Other crucial areas of focus for you would be to assist the marketing and practice leaders with their business development efforts including sales proposals, solutions, and important presentations to clients, and participate in scoping and design efforts for small strategy and large application modernization engagement.
The role is highly visible and demands proven credentials and expertise in IT transformation, modernization, cloud migration, product ownership and management, and continuous process improvement. This role will also provide thought leadership in the areas of cloud migration, cloud operations, and related topics of digital and business transformation.
Job Responsibilities Practice Building & Client Delivery: - Develop a broad understanding of our clients' application development, migration, and modernization programs; engage with client teams/practice leaders to design applications based on business requirements covering applications, data, cloud technology & application security.
- Define strategies for digitalization adoption of key business applications (focusing on the mapping of business requirements to IT capabilities and aligning the same). Define the approach and plan for application development, migration, and modernization.
- Design the migration and modernization strategy and transitional processes necessary for the applications to be onboarded on cloud-based architecture that includes APIs, microservices, etc.
- Create the framework and development practices for the developers and ensure modern architectures are being followed to develop the enterprise apps.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, information security, application & infrastructure teams to produce an optimal, high level, conceptual, and cost-effective application designs by using microservices patterns and best practices.
- Ensure delivery excellence while being hands-on with projects; manage ongoing application/solution modernization projects & client expectations; uphold architecture design quality by setting expectations & standards with designers.
- Create application migration and modernization offerings based on market demand and develop delivery capabilities for its execution.
- Define reference architecture for new offerings and provide key differentiator inputs to offering teams in terms of new technology adoption in the application area.
- Explore new technologies such as cloud-native services, serverless architecture, edge computing, intelligent automation, and Low Code-No Code tools for the development of the applications and reduce the release cycle.
Business Growth: - Understand Trianz' client base and retooling/modernization needs in their IT portfolio; identify new opportunities at existing clients; assist leadership in growing client base and footprint by finding meaningful engagement opportunities, maintaining sales pipeline, proposal solutioning, and providing sales/BD enablement material as needed.
- Develop reusable offerings and assets that are tailored to all target audiences- example: enterprise clients for a specific industry, SMB product companies, etc.
- Collaborate with technical, product, and business teams to deliver cross-functional solutions in an agile environment.
- Create skills and capabilities in the emerging digital technology and cloud within internal teams.
- Promote innovation and IP development that will accelerate the transformation journey for our clients.
- Evangelize and market thought leadership in the application modernization space to help Trianz build credibility in the industry by publishing articles, giving talks, holding design events, and engaging on social network channels.
- Mentor and develop design team members, grow future leaders, up-level them in in-demand skills, and push the boundaries on design architecture and tech to the possible.
- Assist leadership with hiring goals and recruiting process with the right team structure with market demand in mind.
- Hold application design/modernization strategy workshops with mastery in facilitation and setting product roadmaps for various types of design problems.
- Communicate frequently, clearly, and transparently to all stakeholders on everyday business, while solving problems where feasible and escalating blockers.
- Responsible for overall profitability of the engagements
Required Education • Bachelors in Technology / Masters in Technology
Required Experience - 15+ years of relevant experience in area of application design, development, and modernization
- Experience in managing and leading teams for application migration and modernization
- Good understanding and enterprise architect experience of cloud- and digital-native application design principles (like micro-services, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, serverless architecture etc.)
- Expert in providing IT solutions with sound knowledge of cloud, DevOps, application development, application migration, and modernization
- Should have experience in working through all phases of the SDLC and should know about all emerging technologies, processes, and frameworks
- Ability to lead integrated solution offering with responsibility of leading the engagements
- Stakeholder management at senior level across Technology, Operations, Product, Product Development, Sales and Client Service
- Ability to build a complete understanding of business landscape, products and infrastructure
- Entrepreneurial skills with a constant focus on revenue and targets
- Working knowledge of sales support practices such as opportunity identification, deal pursuit & pitching work, project scoping, and writing SOWs
Travel Requirement (%) • Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients and participate in relevant events.

Compensation & BenefitsTrianz compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between USD 180,000- 200,000. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
