Our client is a highly established, boutique tax accounting firm. We are searching for an experienced professional Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our client’s Woodland Hills, CA office.
HOURS: This is a full-time (In-office), year-round position, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Please keep in mind that during Tax Season, working hours may flex to 60–70-hour weeks.
During the off-season, there is flexibility with the working hours.
Pay: 80-130K per year DOE. Our client provides discretionary year-end bonuses based on performance.
As the CPA, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and analyzing tax forms, and ensuring that they are accurate and in compliance with state and local tax regulations, while at the same time, keeping up to date on any changes to tax laws and regulations.
- ·Prepare and file tax returns for businesses, high-end individuals, and trusts, while effectively communicating with your clients, addressing inquiries, and providing tax-related guidance.
- ·Provide tax planning as well as consulting services to clients offering strategic advice to optimize their financial positions.
- ·Collaborate with staff members(6) to share important information, and insights and resolve any complicated tax issues and streamline processes.
- ·Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and Intuit Tax Advisor in preparing the tax forms and analysis, as well as Quickbooks with proficiency.
- ·Analyze financial statements for clients and make changes if necessary.
- ·Work with the team to help streamline the process and propose changes to the processes as well.
This company is staffed with six upbeat and committed professionals, and they have a FUN and dynamic atmosphere. They manage a high volume (approaching close to 1500) of annual returns.
Here are the Qualifications we will be looking for:
- ·A CPA license is required.
- ·10-15 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- ·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ·Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- ·You have experience utilizing Lacerne, as well as Quickbooks, both desktop and online
- ·Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- ·Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- ·Team player with a collaborative mindset who can work hard yet has an upbeat attitude towards clients, the job that needs to be done, and the six other professionals in the office.
