Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the patient accounting receivables for the professional billing system. Actively identify trends and fluctuations for both the system as a whole and the individual campuses utilizing key indicators; A/R days, aging etc. to ensure the healthcare system remains financially viable. Work in close collaboration with other departments of the healthcare system to implement required changes to meet governmental or contractual payer changes. Continually monitor department and system processes for improvement opportunity.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience
Required: at least 5 years’ experience in healthcare reimbursement, billing and collections and/or accounts receivable
Preferred: 5 years of leadership experience
Skills
Knowledge of accounting/finance systems
Excellent Computer Skills
Strong analytical and interpretive skills
Critical thinking
Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
Effective Oral and Written Communication
