Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join our team at Howell Metal. In this role, you will play a critical part in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the efficiency of our operations. This position is vital to maintaining our commitment to quality and service in the copper processing industry.

Responsibilities

Design and implement engineering solutions to improve production efficiency.
Oversee the operation of manufacturing equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Develop and maintain schematics for production processes and equipment.
Supervise the maintenance and repair of the physical resources (equipment, building, and grounds) to achieve objectives and goals of Precision Tube Company. .
Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Conduct regular inspections of industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Provide a state of capability and reliability in physical resources to assure quality standards/specifications, production standards, and production schedules are achieved
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree, BSME, BSIE, BSEE or equivalent / relevant experience.
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal processing.
Electrical, electronics, and PLC experience.
Familiarity with vision inspection systems and lean manufacturing practices is preferred.
Proficient in CAD software for design purposes.
General understanding of OSHA, VADEQ requirements.
Perform design / re-design of machinery, devices, and components as required to maintain and repair plant facilities and equipment.
Diagnose malfunctioning and failed equipment and prepare “root cause analysis”, when necessary.
