Fluid Engineer to join
Eni Mexico. You will be responsible for formulating drilling and completion fluids and cementing programs applying the highest standards of engineering, safety at work, and environmental protection. You will oversee well operations, recommend technological improvements, and collaborate with Service Providers to monitor and enhance drilling and completion activities related to fluids.
Main responsibilities:
- Define and plan drilling and completion fluids, as well as cement slurries to achieve technical objectives in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare drilling fluid, cementing, and completion fluid programs including all information as specified in Company procedure.
- Prepare cost breakdown for chemicals and related services of wells to be drilled, completed, or worked over.
- Follow-up on a daily basis, and recommend changes in drilling/completion fluids aimed to optimize efficiency of operations.
- Make recommendations and provide special assistance when drilling problems occur.
- Manage waste disposal services to preserve the environment and provide HSE reporting data in accordance with local regulations.
- Work with engineering staff to effect changes in some aspects of well programs (as needed) to improve drilling and completion methods, techniques, and efficiency.
- Conduct special studies and reports on any aspects of drilling and completion operations as they relate to well service fluids.
- Provide technical guidance on sampling, analysis, and Quality Assurance testing of drilling & completion fluids, cement slurries, and relevant chemical products.
- Provide on-site assistance in rig operations for specific jobs when requested to do so.
Skills and experience required:
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's Science Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of drilling & completion experience, with exposure to operations.
- Knowledge of drilling operations, well construction processes, well engineering software, drilling units (onshore and offshore), and drilling systems and hazards.
- Ability to function well in a team environment.
- Good presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
