QHSE Specialist within
Versalis International S.A. in
Brussels. You will ensure the preparation and flow of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) procedures and reports, in collaboration with the Parent Company's QHSE and Human Resources functions. You will provide specialist support for planning and implementing investments to ensure regulatory compliance and offer operational support to promote and apply corporate regulations and procedures across the Company and its branches or subsidiaries.
Main responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in conjunction with the Parent Company's QHSE Function and Occupational Physician to check and control personnel's exposure to risk agents.
- Ensure the definition, implementation, and analysis of specialist audit plans.
- Participate in preparing the risk assessment document according to regulatory frameworks.
- Periodically update databases related to occupational hygiene, safety, and environment parameters.
- Assist the Manager in reducing personnel's exposure to risk agents and promote better solutions.
- Provide operational support for managing relationships with public bodies and fulfilling HSE obligations.
- Assist the Manager during inspections and audits regarding safety, health, and environmental protection.
- Help establish, apply, and maintain a compliant quality system.
- Collaborate in preparing, reviewing, and issuing HSE Management System procedures according to ISO 45001.
- Provide data and responses to requests from branches and update HSE databases.
- Assist in drafting manuals and procedures consistent with the quality and HSE Management System.
- Support the correct management and improvement of the quality and HSE Management System.
- Collect and process information for Management Review.
- Identify appropriate information and training measures.
- Perform internal verifications on the quality and HSE Management System.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Relevant HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) experience.
- Fluent knowledge of French and English. Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- Safety Adviser certificate according to Belgian law desired.
- Teamwork attitude in a multinational and multicultural environment.
- Availability to travel as per company needs.
- Proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Interest in maintaining and nurturing professional relationships.
- Computer skills: Windows, Office.
