Due to increasing workload, Halliburton Sperry Surface Data Logging is looking for an Electrical and Automation Technician. This group of personnel is responsible for daily operation of the workshop, and installation, repair/maintenance of sensors, pressure vessels and associated equipment onshore/offshore.
Sperry provides services in the field of monitoring of offshore drilling operations as well as directional drilling and downhole monitoring/painting. These services give our customers a good overview of the well, its condition and development, while ensuring against accidental discharge to the environment.
As a technician with us, you will be
part of a young, dynamic and forward-looking team, leading in remotely controlled operations in mud logging, MWD/LWD and Directional Drilling.
Job responsibilities:
- Planning, installation and commissioning of onshore and offshore equipment.
- Maintenance, calibration and quality control of equipment and paints.
- Work with IT equipment and gas analyzers.
- Project work for new and existing customers, with a focus on HSE, quality and cost.
- Further development and implementation of new equipment, working methods and procedures.
- Participate in a technical support on-call schedule.
- Work offshore must be calculated.

Recommended qualifications:
- A professional certificate as an electrician, automation engineer, etc. is required.
- GSK - Basic safety and emergency preparedness course desirable
- Course; Ex basic/intrinsically safe circuits
- Good Norwegian and English skills, both spoken and written.
- Experience with installation and maintenance of Ex equipment, and applicable standards/regulations.
- IT technical understanding (hardware, software and network solutions)
- Good PC skills, and good knowledge of the MS Office package.
- Experience with 5s, Lean and process improvement.
- Experience in Ethernet, Profibus, HART protocols desirable.

Sperry delivers services within supervision of offshore drilling operations within directional drilling and downhole monitoring/measurements. These services provide our customers with an excellent overview of the well, its condition and development, at the same time ensures unwanted waste is contained.
