Duties & Responsibilities:- Partner with sourcing team members for Casting supplier development and project costs
- Provide engineering technical support for Castings suppliers including tooling, there for reducing casting product cost.
- Develop plans for every part number supporting procurement with supplier decisions and development
- Define advantages of machined (hog-out) versus completed cast design and communicate to sourcing team.
Work Experience The ideal candidate will have the following combination of Education & Experience:- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field or in lieu of degree a minimum of 8 years' experience in casting producibility or similar roles
- Preferred disciplines include Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Must be able to read blueprints and conceptualize product configurations
- Additive manufacturing experience helpful
- Must be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier end
- Due to the nature of work being performed you must be a US Citizen
