As a recent graduate, you’ll jump right into hands-on projects, learn from senior engineers, and graduate into a confident automation professional.
What You’ll Do
- Learn & Design: Work with mentors to turn ideas into CAD models, prototypes, and finished machine designs.
- Prototype & Test: Help build, assemble, and evaluate early versions of new equipment.
- Collaborate: Team up with project managers, controls engineers, robot integrators, manufacturing, and service crews to keep projects on track.
- Troubleshoot: Apply root-cause analysis to solve mechanical issues and keep systems running smoothly.
- Document: Create clear 3D models, drawings, and basic technical notes so everyone’s on the same page.
- Hands-On: Roll up your sleeves to assist with assembly, installation, and on-site visits (up to 10% travel).
- Estimate & Plan: Help scope design tasks, track your time, and learn to balance priorities under general supervision.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (graduated within the last 12 months).
- Curious, resourceful, and eager to learn by doing.
- Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, materials).
- Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar; CSWA certification is a plus).
- Comfortable reading and producing basic engineering drawings.
- Some exposure to rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting, basic shop tools).
- Clear communicator, team player, good time-management, and able to follow safe work practices.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
