JOB DESCRIPTION:
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Act as operations division Field HSE Advisor, assigned for division/group well sites for matters related to safety, loss prevention, environment, occupational health & compliance.
- Well conduct department frequent internal HSE audits & ad-hoc field inspections per the Well completions Safety Management System; SA relevant HSE & Operations standards and as directed by Division/Department management, and in meeting the department operations' safety objectives and expectations. Complete separate NCR report for each conducted inspection & develop a SMARTER plan for each attested audit/Inspection; This includes assisting engineering, operations and HSE teams in
upkeeping existing and developing new safety processes related to risk assessment and management, safety training, asset integrity, safe operations, environmental protection, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, etc.
- Contribute in and/or lead & Complete incident investigations through all stages and complete/review all related reports.
- Conduct internal pre-commencement inspections for well sites/3rd party equipment as directed and attend/support these well sites to develop action plans for closeout of findings identified by official pre-commencement inspections.
- Pre-assesses assigned well sites for HSEI, Well Control, LPD, Corporate audits & EPD audits & inspections as directed and attend/support these well sites to develop action plans for closeout of findings identified officially by mentioned Audit/Inspection teams.
- Act as a mentor to assigned wellsite's foremen in regards of all HSE maters.
- Guide & evaluate contractors' safety officers for compliance to SA requirements.
- Assess wellsite workers, leaders & managers against behavioural safety through frequent site visits, attending wellsite's safety/operations meetings & on-job HSE awareness & raise reports as required.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- The successful candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, HSE, Science, Industrial, or in a related discipline from an accredited entity or equivalent.
- Must have ten (10) years' experience related to safety operations, Oil & Gas industry with minimum of 7 years in Drilling and Workover operations.
- Should hold International safety certification NEBOSCH IGC or IOSH or equivalent.
- Strong technical expertise in the area of Incident investigation, hazard identification, risk management, emergency preparedness & response, and safety management systems.
- Should have demonstrated leadership skills, excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written), computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks. Must have the ability to work in a multicultural environment and the drive to overcome significant challenges.
