Job Purpose:
Working in close partnership with our customers to solve complex engineering challenges, by using the ingenuity of our people in the application of advanced control techniques. Our Engineering positions provide a challenging opportunity in the commissioning of automated systems.
Reporting to Operations Manager
Duties & Responsibilities:
- PLC Programming – writing & developing code: Allan Bradley Rockwell and PLC Siemens S7/TIA Portal
- Development of structured ladder logic, statement list, function blocks
- Set-up of system communications: EtherNet, Modbus and Profibus
- Set-up of drives: AC/DC, and inverters
- Knowledge of PID controllers for control of flow, level, pressure, temperature and humidity
- Perform testing & validation of hardware/software systems
- On site commissioning of new systems both UK and worldwide
- Conduct customer training
- Development of Robot and PLC software
- Remote customer support - fault finding and diagnostics
- Be familiar with Risk Assessment and typical Health and Safety Issues in the workplace.
- Operate within company procedures
Skills & Experience:
- Experienced in PLC programming – Allen Bradley as a minimum – this is a must
- PLC / SCADA system design & development
- Systems, Software & Hardware development experience
- Knowledge of Ignition systems desirable
Qualifications:
- B.Eng / M.Eng Electrical, Electronics or Mechatronic degree qualification
- Certified with significant controls experience will be considered

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
