POSITION TITLE: President
REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer
POSITION SUMMARY:
The President identifies opportunities and leads initiatives to improve performance and enhance the culture throughout the company, and provides guidance and support to management team members. The President researches, evaluates, recommends and implements strategies to grow Parker Steel, and to improve customer service and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/EXPECTATIONS:
1.The President has full profit and loss responsibility for Parker Steel.He/she manages in order to raise the short and long term profit and loss performance of Parker Steel, by leading and managing the Parker Team, building customer sales, raising company effectiveness, and deploying strategies to ensure long term success.
2.Oversee management of the warehouse operations: provide direction to warehouse management; coach and develop warehouse management personnel; develop and implement plans to improve effectiveness and reduce operating costs. Develop and implement plans to ensure warehouse operations remain in compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. Maintain a positive relationship with the work force.
3.Initiate and lead activities and projects to raise the performance of all areas of the company: Identify opportunities and lead projects to improve effectiveness (e.g., redesigning processes, revising practices, and developing a comprehensive performance management system); aggressively seek opportunities to reduce costs in all areas.
4.Research, evaluate, recommend and implement strategies to grow Parker Steel through increased market share and the addition of new product lines and/or businesses.
5.Develop and sustain a management culture of teamwork, communication, and cooperation within and between departments; clarify responsibilities and redesign processes, as needed for improvement.
6.Seek and implement opportunities to improve customer service and customer satisfaction; identify and implement process improvements; maintain a system to gauge customer satisfaction.
7.Provide guidance and coaching to management team members to assist their efforts to manage their departments and to raise their capabilities as managers: identify and provide opportunities for training and development; ensure that managers effectively follow the performance management and development system.
8.Lead and ensure full compliance with the Parker Steel Quality Management System.
9.Build upon and encourage the culture of Continual Improvement
10.Ensure the highest level Safety Performance, always seeking to achieve zero Accidents.
11.Ensure the proper execution and improvement of the performance management system.
12.Lead Environmental Improvement Initiatives.
13.Execute any additional tasks assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

16.Perform all tasks and duties in a safe manner, fully complying with all policies and procedures.
