Join WGM Group's dynamic engineering design team and contribute to innovative, community-oriented civil engineering projects in the Northern Rockies! As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer, you will gain hands-on experience in all stages of project development focusing on water, sewer, stormwater, and road systems. Based in either our Bozeman, Kalispell, or Missoula office, this role offers the opportunity to grow as you play a key role in project execution for critical public and private sector projects under the guidance of licensed engineers.
Role & Responsibilities:
As an integral player in the engineering design team, you will:

Perform drafting for a wide range of public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions, including water/sewer/storm/roads, utilizing technical software under the direction of a licensed engineer.

Review and implement redlines from senior staff.

Provide support to the project team to produce project documents such as plan sets, reports, and feasibility studies.

Coordinate and review work with project managers.

Compile and submit permit applications to local, state and federal agencies.

Assist with cost estimate quantities.

Utilize software to confirm that project tasks are performed correctly with appropriate QA/QC.

Maintain project files and database.

Perform construction observation, site visits, and infrastructure testing.

Depending on experience, may assist with designing plans for a wide range of projects.
Qualifications:
As a valued member of our engineering team, at a minimum, you will have a:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

0-4 years of experience in civil engineering projects.

Licensed Engineer-in-Training (EIT).

Basic understanding of roads, water, sewer, and storm design.

Keen attention to detail.

Solid organizational skills with an ability to prioritize projects and daily workload.

Aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.
