EA3 Civil Engineering, Inc. is seeking a qualified civil engineer candidate with 2 to 8 years of experience for the position of Staff Civil Engineer (E.I. preferred). A minimum degree of Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering is required.
We are looking for a civil engineer to assist in the design, plan production, and management of our land development, site civil, drainage, water/sewer, and other private projects. Sample current project types include single-family residential, multi-family residential, commercial projects, water mains, sanitary sewer mains, lift stations, stormwater drainage, drainage modeling, etc. Experience in permitting with the various permitting authorities throughout Miami-Dade and Broward is preferred.
Typical responsibilities may include:
- Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various site civil, utility, and land development projects
- Complete site Paving, Grading, & Drainage plans, Utility plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans
- Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives
- Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
- Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD or Civil 3D
- Review plans and specifications
- Prepare/assist with permit submittals
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Document design changes and communications
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Attend Client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre- construction, etc.
- Maintain excellent Client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
The successful candidate must have experience in the above areas of design, be able to multi-task, be organized, be motivated, be a good team player, be able to produce the highest quality of work, have excellent planning, communication, writing, and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to adapt to change in priorities and project schedules. A high-proficiency in AutoCAD is required, with some knowledge of Civil 3D being beneficial. Experience with stormwater drainage design/calculations, and modeling with Cascade, ICPR, etc. is preferred.
