DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYReporting to the Director of Procurement, the Strategic Sourcing Manager develops more efficient processes and implements cost savings initiatives. This position analyzes information and processes, presents their findings and strategy to Procurement leadership and cross functional enterprise partners. The Strategic Sourcing Manager facilitates large and small scale, systemic and business unit centric, request for proposal (RFP)/request for information (RFI) processes and negotiates fair and cost-effective supply contracts on behalf of enterprise business units.
This position has strong experience in sourcing, supplier negotiations, data gathering and analysis, and managing enterprise and supplier relationships responsible to build collaborative relationships with our internal enterprise partners to understand requirements for new projects, as well as enterprise initiative impacts. They will be the point of contact for any contract that goes through legal.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager actively manages multiple highly visible, time-sensitive activities, effectively interfacing with all levels of leadership, and ensuring the sourcing process is strategically planned and efficiently completed to drive progress across sourcing initiatives consistent with Agua Caliente Casino policies and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Evaluates sourcing procedures and presents improvement strategies to Procurement and cross functional leadership teams. Drives collaborative relationships in order to gather feedback, understand issues, recognize opportunities, and influence category strategies.
- Analyzes procurement cost and develops cost reduction strategies. Drives procurement decisions based on cost and scenario analysis. Analyzes spend, determines opportunities, develops negotiation strategies, gains alignment from stakeholders, leads cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implements appropriate supplier risk analysis.
- Facilitates and authors specific RFI/RFP documents detailing every aspect of the project, product, or service for the purpose of soliciting bidders as well as variable being vital to awarding the bid.
- Interacts with stakeholders to source, develop, engage and lead supplier relationships that drive the greatest value in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, risk management, sustainability, supplier diversity, and innovation.
- Identifies and pursues ad hoc opportunities to reduce product/service costs and leads the implementation of operational improvement initiatives including leveraging the existing supplier base to appropriately consolidate services, reducing costs and improving enterprise agility.
- Will be responsible for the mentoring and coaching ofSourcing Specialist team
- Builds and maintains vendor/contractor relationships to eliminate inefficiencies in the supply chain, reduce total costs, and increase productivity.
- Utilizes procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility across the enterprise.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Hotel Administration, Business or Accounting/Finance preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of strategic sourcing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to communicate in English in both oral and written form.
- Experience with RedRock Purchasing a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDSTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ miles climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift.
Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 30 pounds on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
