ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Wheeling-Nippon Steel, Inc. is one of the Country’s largest hot-dip steel coating mills, located in Follansbee, WV just 40 minutes from Pittsburgh, PA. Wheeling-Nippon Steel is the only steel coating facility in the United States to produce all major hot-dip coated products under one roof. The operation includes two (2) fully computerized coating lines with a broad product base and a long standing reputation for producing high quality, cost effective corrosion resistant sheet product.
The Company is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team located in Follansbee, West Virginia. We offer a competitive salary with a complete benefits package that includes profit sharing.
JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Engineer will be involved with maintaining, upgrading and improving all the various electrical systems associated within the plant that includes two (2) steel strip hot dip coating lines along with its entire associated ancillary & support equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESONSIBILITIES:
- Substation and Power Distribution
- PLCs and PCs
- Motor Controllers (AC & DC)
- Process instrumentation
- Furnace Controls
- Communication Networks
- Plant Utilities
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manage & Implement existing established Predictive & Preventive Maintenance plans for all electrical equipment.
- Development of PM standards, check sheets for new equipment.
- Long term maintenance planning.
- Day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Contractor control, coordination and supervision.
- Existing equipment upgrades/improvements including the recommendation of design changes to improve performance/reliability.
- New equipment installations/modifications.
- PC, PLC & Process Computer software upgrades/modifications.
- Spare parts analysis and control.
- Participation and adherence to established ISO 9000requirements in regards to work procedures, instrument calibration, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS: Electrical Engineering
- Prefer at least three (3) years related manufacturing operation experience
- Must be knowledgeable with software office applications, auto CAD a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication/language skills
- Analytical and reasoning ability, math skills, and good judgment for critical operating decisions.
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to cooperate and interpersonal skills to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Motivation to provide excellent internal and external customer service
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
