Job Duties
1. Provide technical support for new and existing equipment.
2. Take an active role in new part quotations including, feasibility, costs for labor, material requirements, tools and machines etc.
3. Procure quotes and negotiate the purchase of new equipment and assembly lines.
4. Develop manufacturing process for complicated automotive assemblies.
5. Work with design and suppliers to develop and implement automation solutions.
6. Development processes to meet customer and internal specifications.
7. Oversee production trial schedules and documentation.
8. Participate in customer reviews during all phases of development and launch.
9. Plan for efficient material flow in manufacturing.
10. Complete ECR’s / ECI’s on current parts.
11. Support Kaizen activities in production.
12. Manage the building of new equipment and tooling for programs as required for new model launches.

Some overnight travel required.
Skills, Education and Credential Requirements
1. Requires computer skills with various software's. Excel, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and JDE ERP system.
2. Engineering degree in manufacturing, mechanical or electrical discipline.
3. Requires good written and verbal skills.
4. Ability to work with cross functional teams.
5. Ability to express thought, ideas, and data in a professional and concise format.
6. Hands on tooling modification and use of hand tools to make process/tool modifications.
7. Performing time studies.
8. Practical Problem-Solving Skills
9. Plastics processing knowledge helpful.
Equipment and process design knowledge helpful. Injection molding or automotive interiors preferred.
Responsibilities
1. Support production process and equipment improvements and action plans.
2. Responsible for implementation of programs and activities, which promote company growth and help, reach company goals and targets.
3. Oversee new projects and help insure a successful project launch.
Develop improvement ideas and activities.
Supervision Required
Reports to the Engineering Manager and is expected to operate with minimal supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $92,621.00 per year
