Overview
The Agency Compliance Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that products and processes meet regulatory standards and internal quality requirements. This position involves working closely with various teams to develop, implement, and maintain compliance strategies that align with industry regulations and the product certification requirements of outside agencies including UL and Intertek.
Duties
- Coordinates with outside agencies (Underwriters Laboratories, Intertek Testing Services, etc.) to gain and maintain appropriate certifications for BUNN equipment.
- Performs all certification steps and conducts testing of products to assure compliance with electrical and sanitary safety standards and to resolve any violation/variation notices
- Conducts investigations and prepares required documentation to submit to agencies in support of certification process.
- Works with project engineers/managers to help evaluate design for ease of agency certifications for US and Canada markets.
- Works with production facilities and component suppliers to assure compliance with agency procedures.
- Escorts agency inspectors through the production process and investigates any variation or violation notices issued.
- Maintains complete and accurate records of required standards and procedures.
- Maintains complete and accurate database of equipment listings and provides information of agency status to management.
- Maintains calibration records for test equipment in Agency lab.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly lab and office facility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required. Mechanical aptitude necessary. Ability to analyze components, ability to communicate proficiently, both verbal and written, to all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects a must. Familiarity with beverage or food equipment a significant plus, as well as understanding of UL test standards. Must be able to read/understand engineering drawings, schematics, system diagrams and test standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $94,250.00 per year
