Job Summary:
The Director of Transformation spearheads the digital modernization, secure AI integration, and enterprise architecture initiatives. They are responsible for shaping our technology strategy, accelerating innovation, and overseeing the secure design, deployment, and governance of next-gen platforms across our internal and external (Navy and DoD) programs.
As with any position, additional expectations exist. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure enterprise architectures for GovCon and R&D environments
- Serve as executive sponsor and architect for existing and emerging technology portfolios, including Assistive Technologies, Cybersecurity, and big data platforms
- Architect and implement security-first technology strategies compliant with government standards (e.g. NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC)
- Lead technology due diligence for M&A, and manage post-acquisition integration efforts
- Champion DevSecOps best practices across multi-disciplinary agile teams
- Direct enterprise-level Technology modernization programs from concept through delivery
- Foster partnerships to advance organizational capability (e.g. AWS, Microsoft, Google)
- Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams of developers, engineers, scientists, and architects
- Represent the company at industry forums, federal advisory boards, and thought leadership events
Basic Qualifications:
- >20 years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles across federal contracting, finance, and R&D domains
- Master's degrees in Computer Science (Data Science focus) and Business Administration
- Certification in PMP, CISSP, OSCP, TOGAF, CISM, CSX-P, CSM
- Demonstrated experience managing portfolios >$10M and teams >40 FTE
- Demonstrated expertise in secure cloud deployments (AWS), AI/ML solutions, and Atlassian DevOps ecosystems
- Demonstrated success implementing LLMs, generative AI, and automated NLP pipelines
- Eligible for a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior experience in a CTO, Chief Architect, or Senior DevSecOps role within a federal contractor or research institution
- Demonstrated experience supporting DoD clients with high compliance/security postures
- Demonstrated familiarity with CMMI, ITIL, and Lean Six Sigma frameworks
