Requirements
***All applicants must live within the state of Michigan and a commutable distance to one of the Ignite Credit Union branch locations. *** The Director of Real Estate will oversee and lead the Real Estate lending team with timely and professional execution of all operations and activities associated with real estate lending functions, ensuring the Credit Union real estate functions are in full compliance with all pertinent regulations.
- Directs and monitors all aspects of Real Estate through subordinate managers/supervisors to ensure the Credit Union meets established goals and objectives with respect to real estate lending. Monitors product delivery and quality and takes action to resolve problems. Monitors real estate underwriting risk tolerance and course-corrects when risk levels are not in line with proper standards. Ensure efficiency in lending operations and workflows.
- Effectively leads Real Estate Operations, ensuring optimal performance. Provides leadership to personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication; Identifies training needs and develops appropriate training programs and coaches on behaviors that ensure staff are living out our mission and core values.
- Create, modify, and maintain procedures, guides, webpages, and intranet pages relevant to Real Estate as assigned. Create and present enhanced Real Estate education for branch lending staff to enhance their abilities and strengthen their production, cross-offering of products, and understanding of credit and risk. Work with the training department on lending and real estate training content.
- Works with the CEO, President, Vice President of Lending, and Micuso to establish the annual budgets for the Real Estate departments; helps establish annual sales goals for lending programs and initiates action to achieve established goals. Helps communicate lending goals to staff and track production.
- Participates in creating and directing the strategic plan and initiatives developed by the Leadership team. Actively participates in conversations and actions that drive the future of the Credit Union. Work with Leadership team members to attain cross-functional goals and maximize overall lending functionality, production, and profitability. Works with Leadership on new products and services to better serve current and future members
