Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate part models and source engineering during the product design and development phases of APQP to establish a practical and cost-effective path forward.
- Lead and manage engineering projects related to manufacturing processes, from concept to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, operations, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Analyze and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment, systems, and processes.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering or project management role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality standards is a plus.
- Familiarity with processing and molding thermoplastics is a plus.
