Senior Operator E&I Technician within
Eni Energy Netherlands B.V. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our offshore production facilities. As a Senior Operator/E&I Technician, you will be responsible for both operator and technician duties across satellites and main complexes. Your work will involve overseeing gas separation, drying, and compression processes, primarily managed from the central control room. You will take proactive measures to maintain uninterrupted production, often in coordination with the Team Leader. In your technician capacity, you will handle tasks related to electrical energy systems, high-voltage installations and instrumentation control across various platforms. You will also work with specialised electronic measuring and calibration equipment, and can rely on the Team Leader for guidance and support from onshore engineers and external experts.

Main responsibilities:
Compliance with Regulations
- Comply with all relevant legislation and regulations concerning safety (including electrical work), occupational health (Arbo), environmental standards, the mining act, and operational procedures.
- Remain vigilant to health, safety, and environmental risks, strictly adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure correct observance of applicable laws and regulations.
Gas Production
- Maintain uninterrupted production on satellites (separation, drying, compression) in line with specifications.
- Monitor production quality via alarms, control panels, and visual checks.
- Take samples and conduct standard analyses.
- Identify issues and propose corrective actions in consultation with the Team Leader.
- Ensure timely and complete checks, accurate settings, and prompt escalation to the OIM/Team Leader.
- Perform maintenance and repairs, adjust installations, replace components, and deploy backup equipment using manual tools.
- Provide instructions to contractors, using English or Dutch technical terminology as needed.
On-the-Job Safety
- Ensure safe execution of tasks through the safe work permit system.
- Prepare third-party activities to create safe working conditions.
- Authorise low-risk jobs and escalate higher-risk tasks to the OIM.
- Implement measures to eliminate or minimise risks.
- Report planned work to the Team Leader and enforce safety protocols during execution.
- Supervise third-party work on installations.
- Ensure platform safety through accurate risk assessments and timely corrective actions.
E&I Maintenance and Fault Resolution
- Conduct preventive maintenance and resolve faults in the E&I domain.
- Prioritise repairs, define methods and resources, and assess the need for specialist support.
- Follow protocols for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose faults using alerts, reports, and proactive investigation.
- Resolve issues, perform repairs, and carry out start-ups and test runs.
- Operate, set, and adjust equipment using appropriate tools.
- Ensure timely inspections, accurate fault diagnosis, and thorough resolution.
- Handle equipment with care and perform precise repairs with appropriate prioritisation.
Work Logging
- Record production data, tasks performed, time spent, and materials used.
- Maintain reliable, complete logs and ensure prompt data availability.
Skills and experience required:
- Senior secondary vocational education and training (MBO) level 3/4.
- Experience in energy generation, process control engineering and electrotechnical installations.
- Familiarity with DCS systems and PLCs, including energy generation from diesel engines and turbines, electrical switching, reading P&IDs, ESD systems and fire and gas detection systems.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English at B2 level (CEFR) across listening, reading, conversation, speaking and writing.
