We're looking for a
Certified 4th Class Power Engineerto join our
Athabasca Oriented Strand Board (OSB) division, located in Slave Lake, Alberta. This
state-of-the-art facilityhas the longest continuous press in North America, giving us the ability to manufacture a broad range of innovative forest products for customers around the world.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- 4thClass Power Engineer Certification.
- Extensive operating and maintenance experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment toworking safely.
- Strong communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independentlywith little supervision.
- Previous experience in a forest products environment is considered an asset.

In this role you will:
- Work with a high-performance team dedicated toensuring the safe and efficient operation of ourfire systems,process safety equipment, andnewly built thermal energy system.
- Keep our systems running smoothly by applying your expertise to theplanning and execution of maintenance and regulatory effortsin the energy area.
- Show our commitment to excellence by maintaining records associated withcompliance with environmental, ABSA and insurance standards.
- Pass on your knowledge bydeveloping training systems and operating proceduresand training our team of Power Engineer Operators.
- Use your leadership skillstostep in and take charge for the Chief Power Engineer when they are away.
