Job Summary
The candidate will assist in the preparation of the CVOW Transition Pieces (TP) for offshore installation of at the CVOW marshalling facility at Portsmouth Marine Terminal. This entails manual handing, rigging, bolting operations and working at height, to facilitate pre-fitting of specialized equipment and bolts, on the inside and outside of the transition pieces.
This person will also include handling incoming and outgoing goods and general yard work. The candidate will work with a small, energetic team that is hands-on and has a problem-solving and a can-do mind set.
Rotation will be 4 weeks on, 4 weeks off. Perdiem included for meals and lodging.
Responsibilities:
- Follow work safety requirements and apply relevant safety mitigations.
- Working with onshore preparation team, to ensure that all planned and unplanned activities are executed to the required standard and in line with agreed procedures.
- Perform day-to-day TP preparation activities with the team ensuring all tasks are completed as required.
- Provide feedback on progress and issues.
- Provide feedback on possible operational optimizations.
- Perform tasks such as:
- Manual handling
- Pre-installation of bolts inside the TP
- Installation of specialized equipment inside the TP
- Taking equipment in & out of storage
- Bolting
- Use of impact wrench to bolt and unbolt TP components
- Rigging
- Assist with lifting small equipment in/out of the TP
- Work at height
- Climb ladders with fall protection inside and outside of the TP
- Other
- Function testing of equipment and equipment inspections
- Cleaning up deck barges.
- Cleaning up terminal site and help organize containers.
Required Qualifications
· GWO Working at Height
· Must have current TWIC Card - Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
· Valid US Driver's license.
· Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
· Ability to be standing for extended periods.
· High school diploma or equivalent.
