ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:The National Account Manager is a senior-level sales professional employed by Superior Essex Communications and dedicated exclusively to managing and growing the strategic account of a key national client. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring clients' satisfaction, promoting Superior Essex's products and services tailored to the customer's needs, setting strategic sales targets, and maintaining a strong, collaborative partnership between Superior Essex and national client.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop deep insights into client's business, including corporate initiatives, market outlook, customer profiles, and new project pipelines.
- Build and sustain direct relationships with client leadership, including RVPs, Branch Managers, Sales Professionals, and the corporate team in Atlanta, GA.
- Lead in-person and virtual meetings to understand evolving needs and identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute a quarterly business plan specifically aimed at achieving sales targets.
- Support Rep Firms and Regional Sales Managers in identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.
- Ensure customer sales commitments align with Superior Essex's overarching supply agreements with client.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the company CRM system.
- Participate in relevant training programs, both at national client and within Superior Essex, to stay informed on products and market dynamics.
- Lead negotiations on National Incentive Agreements, including pricing, terms, and closing deals.
- Assist in developing individual objectives and KPIs aligned with the growth of the client account.
- Prepare and present sales proposals that effectively communicate opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage all aspects of the client account, ensuring all their needs and requirements are met by Superior Essex.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in sales, preferably with experience in Network Infrastructure
- Strong technical understanding of fiber and copper standards relevant to horizontal cabling and backbone solutions affecting network performance.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
- Knowledge in the use of CRMs
