Summary/Objectives: Under the leadership of the Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering, the Project Engineer is responsible for the coordination of resources necessary to ensure the successful, on-time completion of complicated development projects. This includes various types of technology implementation, including the creation of new mechanical, electrical, and/or software designs and products. Experience with electrical engineering and the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a must. The Project Engineer must focus on business strategy and agility, not on technology for technology's sake.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):- Prepare project plans including Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), budgets, scope documents, diagrams, etc.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives/projects between Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, and Software Development to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Consistent, reliable attendance and punctuality at assigned work location
- Maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, staffing requirements, communications, and status updates.
- Estimate costs, resources, and time required to complete projects and ensure business targets are met.
- Monitor and assess project issues, escalate when necessary, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines and internal processes and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of scheduling, monitoring, and reporting of projects.
- Conduct critical path analysis and work closely with teams to manage tasks and workflow.
- Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: Required: - Engineering or Computer Science Bachelors Degree required.
- Must have 3-5 years' experience in product development environment.
- A desire to work in fast-paced environment
- Experience working on a variety of software development projects
Preferred:- Agile certification highly preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing concepts highly preferred

Work Environment: General office environment that is climate controlled; Production area is not. Will be required to visit production area regularly and may be exposed to airborne contaminants, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Safety glasses and safety-toe footwear may be required. The noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time - 9/80 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM. May require overtime based on business needs.
Travel: Occasional travel is expected for this position.
