Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusatstic, detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring quality standards are met within our production facility. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, project scheduling, and continuous improvement methodologies. The successful candidate will have exceptinoal communication skills, be an ideal team-player, fast learner, and be passionate about enhancing operational performance.
Candidates must be US Citizens, have reliable transportation, and be willing to travel.
Duties
Some job duties include:
- Update existing and develop future plant layouts (AutoCAD)
- Develop assembly / manufacturing processes to support new product or existing product improvements
- Develop plan to improve changeover activities to increase manufacturing throughput
- Identify methods to ensure standardized work is followed and reduce process variation
- Work with manufacturing team members to develop continuous improvement initiatives
- Basic understanding of data collection methods including time study, delay study, and work sampling
- Time study existing work centers to identify waste and develop action plans for improvement
- Develop and maintain Quality Documentation including Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA’s), Control Plans, Inspection Sheets, Work Instructions, and Quality Control Visuals
- Utilize pre-determined time standards to develop process times for new and existing processes
- Develop work instructions following required process sequence capturing all critical process steps
- Maximize equipment capacity utilization
- Develop a roadmap and set priorities to reach goals set for cost improvement, safety, and efficiency
- Develop Future State Process Map to improve handling of materials and reduction in indirect labor cost
- Develop Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to optimize inventory storage methods and frequencies
- Develop Work in Process (WIP) needed to support operation processes and improve material flow
- Evaluate need and design for improved material handling equipment
- Implement 5S and workplace organization practices
- Evaluate customer manufacturing needs and use engineering skillset to address those needs
- Utilize project Gantt charts to manage daily project schedules for keeping all tasks on schedule and identify potential delays
- Report progress in professional manor to customer in weekly project review meetings
- Maintain detailed action register with open items to review with project team for resolution
- Maintain IMEG and customer files according to standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Utilize IMEG standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to complete project work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Excel
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments

Pay: $68,652.02 - $82,677.70 per year
