Our company is in search of a Designer to join our Systems Engineering Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quote systems and assemblies per sales request.
- Establish cost of systems and assemblies per quantity requested.
- Assist sales in all applications and make joint technical sales calls.
- Work with customer to develop and define exact requirement needs.
- Design Power Unit and Manifold circuits per customer requirement.
- Prototype Manifold Assemblies and make required changes prior to production.
- Make and document all changes of Prototypes and have customer approve.
- Re-cost assemblies of existing jobs as required.
- Process customer purchase orders for System Group assemblies.
- Develop and maintain bill of materials for System Group assemblies.
- Acknowledge customer orders for Systems Group orders placed.
- Provide sketches and drawings as required for jobs.
- Responsible for jobs assigned by Systems Group Manager on the production floor.
- Assist shop technician with Power Unit layout and approve prior to assembly.
- Document all changes to Power Units and assemblies as required.
- Communicates and follows up on all sales leads.
- Communicates back to customers and suppliers in a timely manner the progress of orders, quotes, and other information required.
- Acknowledges all orders back to customers in a timely fashion.
Qualifications:
- Two year Fluid Power Associates Degree or a 4 year college degree in a related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience as a drafter/designer.
- Five years experience in related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
