As an Expert Oilfield Product Management , you will join Versalis Oilfield Solutions . The Oilfield Product Management
team is responsible for scouting new suppliers, contracting them with the support of the relevant internal functions, ordering chemical products, and shipping them to the port/airport closest to the field of use. This activity also includes requesting the documentation package related to each product, such as safety data sheets, purchase and sales specifications, bills of lading, and packing lists. The process is concluded when all invoices have been correctly processed. Some of these activities are performed during the tender process. Main activities:
- Support the production planning of the products under your responsibility at third parties, acquiring a product availability plan
- Contribute to the development, management and planning activities of strategic product purchases from third parties (purchase for resale) and/or transfers from other business units, necessary to supply existing or spot contracts
- Support the qualification activity of suppliers of special/strategic products also to be used as ingredients for formulations
- Contribute to the drafting of preliminary purchase agreements for special/strategic products for contract or spot resale
- Collaborate on SAP management activities for the relevant products
- Collaborate in product qualification activities at external laboratories in accordance with specific oilfield standards or in the preparation of supporting documentation (specifications, MSDS, etc.)
- Contribute to the drafting of purchase/sales agreements, licensing agreements and NDAs
- Support logistics activities for the correct management of products, until delivery to their final destination
- Support, through expertise, the Tender Response Team in the preparation of product costs, ensuring the preparation of the relevant documentation
- Collaborate with the relevant functions to support the unblocking of relevant active and passive invoices
Required characteristics:
- Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Economics. Other qualifications will be considered, provided significant experience in the role is present.
- At least 3 years of experience
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Availability for national and international travel
