Job Description:
Perform installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance activities for water treatment systems, ensuring full-time quality as contracted by the client and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
Support activities related to the installation (hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical) and assembly, testing, commissioning, and start-up of land-based systems;
perform basic operation and maintenance of water treatment systems;
and conduct water analysis and/or collect, prepare, identify, and send samples to the laboratory for analysis.
Perform website administrative tasks: ordering materials, preparing operational reports (internal and client), and recording expenses periodically;
Complete all field documentation such as reports, forms, and checklists using remote monitoring tools or other means, ensuring adequate records for internal control and client presentation;
Ensure the availability of maintenance resources on-site, in good working order, and properly inventoried;
Conduct inventories and schedule orders for chemicals and other consumables (e.g., cartridge filters);
Inspect and identify operational, maintenance, and other issues, providing initial assistance and facilitating problem resolution for the support team;
Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance;
Properly execute operational maneuvers and procedures to ensure the correct functioning of treatment units, achieving performance parameters;
Verify analyzers/instruments according to company procedures and send them for calibration/maintenance when necessary;
Serve as the primary point of contact with the client, interacting with internal support areas.
Continuously identify opportunities for improvement and potential risks to operations, communicating them promptly to management;
comply with corporate and client policies, such as EHS and Compliance;
and ensure the organization of the work area and adherence to the 5S methodology.
Properly perform hazardous energy lockout/tagout procedures;
Prepare chemical solutions and dosages, if necessary;
Monitor required analytical parameters during operation, if necessary;
Support the development and control of the critical spare parts list for operational reliability;
Requirements:
Knowledge of conventional and membrane water treatment;
- Knowledge of operation and/or maintenance of water treatment systems or related systems, preferably conventional filtration, OR, UF, EDI, MBR, and others.
- Basic experience/knowledge in chemical analysis of water and interpretation of results;
- Knowledge of reading technical documents such as schematics, diagrams, and P&IDs;
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation (basic principles of logic and control elements), mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems;
- Knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and Word.
