The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $153,000 - $191,000
Job Summary:
The Director – Integrated Planning & Scheduling, reporting to the President of NYSEG, is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the integrated planning and scheduling of all Transmission and Distribution (T&D) work across the organization. This includes Capital, New Customer, Maintenance, and Reliability projects. The Director ensures optimal resource utilization, alignment with corporate objectives, and continuous improvement of planning processes. This role leads a team of regional supervisors and schedulers, collaborating with executive leadership to drive operational excellence and performance transparency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Integration: Lead the development and execution of the Capital and Expense Operational work across all T&D functions. Align planning and scheduling activities with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and financial targets. Oversee the integration of internal and external resource planning, including outsourcing decisions and contractor management.
Governance & Performance Management: Establish and maintain governance structures for monthly and quarterly planning reviews. Drive performance reporting through scorecards, dashboards, and KPI tracking to measure organizational effectiveness. Ensure executive visibility into work plan progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Process Optimization & Standardization: Champion the standardization of scheduling templates, forecasting models, and planning tools across regions. Lead the continuous improvement of planning and scheduling processes, leveraging data analytics and industry best practices. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all planning systems and platforms.
Leadership & Team Development: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to Senior Supervisors, Schedulers, and Planning Analysts. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the Planning & Scheduling organization. Develop talent through coaching, training programs, and succession planning.
Technology & Tools Oversight: Oversee the implementation and optimization of planning tools such as Primavera, ARCOS, and Field Workforce Mobility/Field Force. Ensure effective use of labor forecasting, project management, and data analysis tools (Excel, Access, etc.). Collaborate with IT and business units to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
10+ years of experience in project planning, or resource management.
Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and large-scale operational programs.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
