Industrial Engineer (entry-level)
DC Fabricators Inc. is the leader in the design, technology and manufacturing of steam condensers and heat exchangers that support the US Navy Submarine, Aircraft Carrier and other programs. Our facility specializes in corrosion resistant alloy and dissimilar metal fabrications.
We are looking for an entry-level Industrial Engineer to add to our growing team in Florence, NJ. This is an on-site position.
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for the technical direction in several industrial engineering functions and effective coordination with the manufacturing departments, project engineering, and accounting department to implement recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Implements work measurement techniques, evaluates results and recommends subsequent improvements.
- Recognizes the need, analyzes and recommends improved methods, systems, procedures and material flow.
- Coordinates and implements methodology improvements.
- Prepares cost estimates and comparisons of existing alternatives and presents findings to appropriate supervisory/managerial personnel.
- Prepares, analyzes, and presents manpower estimates and project budget requirements.
- Develops and recommends material handling and plant and office layout analyses.
- Analyzes, develops and processes appropriation requests, coordinates through implementation and follow-up.
- Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, project engineering, quality engineering and other operating functions to prepare personnel and material activity measurements.
- And other tasks as needed.
Education: B.S. in Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 0-2 years of industrial engineering experience
Other Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work collaboratively with others. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to recognize manufacturing problems in the pre-production stage and make recommendations for their resolution. Must have the ability to recognize fundamental causes for specific industrial engineering problems.
- Membership in appropriate technical/professional societies is desirable.
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
