Teufelberger Fiber Rope Corp. is seeking a Junior Product Engineer based at our manufacturing facility in Fall River. This role will initially concentrate on product recertification, a detailed process which occurs every few years and typically spans several months. Other Engineering responsibilities will be introduced and will become the primary focus once recertification is complete.
The Junior Product Engineer will work closely with U.S. and international Engineering colleagues to support the company’s overall objectives.
Responsibilities
- Close cooperation with Product Engineers and relevant organizations in maintaining product certifications
- Create and maintain work instructions, bills of material and routing instructions in SAP
- Assist in Product Development of fiber ropes
- Aquire in-depth application knowledge, partnering with Sales in providing knowledgeable customer support
- Translate customer/application requirements into product specifications
- Ensure compliance with national/international law/regulations of our products
- Close cooperation with product management
- Assist in raw material specification and new raw material qualification
- Up to 10% company-paid travel may be required
Qualifications
- Technical degree in mechanical and/or textile engineering required
- Experience in textiles and textile manufacturing desired
- Innovative, efficient, flexible, reliable, self-motivated, and resilient
- Capable with teamwork, respect for people, customer care, safety, analytical thinking
- Familiarity with rope product application(s) is a plus, i.e. sailing, rock climbing, tree care, rope access
- Language: English proficiency required
- Language: German proficiency is beneficial but not required

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
