Job Title- Safety Data Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 1 Year contract
Rate:$60-$75/hour
Overview The Safety Data Analyst within the Process Safety & Services team plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making that improves workplace safety and risk management. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets from multiple sources, assessing technical requirements for Power Platform solutions, and driving continuous improvement in safety-related data collection processes.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with technical expertise in data tools, and the ability to communicate complex insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Data & Reporting
- Collect, govern, validate, and maintain all safety-related data, including incidents, investigations, corrective actions, and exposure data.
- Conduct trending and statistical analysis to identify patterns, themes, and emerging hazards.
- Manage and deliver internal, external, and regulatory safety reporting.
- Track and report on safety KPIs and performance metrics.
- Power Platform & Analytics Development
- Manage and deliver Power Platform projects including PowerApps, Power BI, and Power Automate solutions.
- Create and maintain custom PowerApps tools and applications.
- Develop and maintain Safety Power BI dashboards that support real-time analytics and reporting.
- Build predictive models to identify and forecast potential hazards.
- Develop and maintain the Safety Performance AI build roadmap.
- Systems & Tools Management
- Optimize data collection workflows through market research and tool development.
- Maintain tools and systems used for safety data analysis.
- Provide management and oversight of EHS software platforms (e.g., Enablon, EHSM).
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of the Safety Classification and Learning (SCL) model classifications.
- Communication & Collaboration
- Present insights and findings to cross-functional teams including operations, projects, STS, and senior leadership.
- Support distribution of safety alerts, bulletins, and safety communications.
- Collaborate closely with safety professionals, SMEs, and other analysts to transform raw data into actionable insights.
Qualifications & Skills - Strong proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and data manipulation techniques.
- Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and root-cause analysis.
- Experience with EHS systems (Enablon, EHSM) preferred.
- Ability to present complex technical and safety-related information clearly and concisely.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
