Job Description: Work with a team in the design, development, and testing of autonomous and sensor data fusion products with embedded AI for all vertical markets such as automotive, transportation, industrial, and healthcare.
You will use CAD software and other design and modeling tools to design and improve products for rugged environments with wide temperature ranges, vibration, and exposure to varied weather conditions. You will help to identify appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and manufacturability of products. Utilization of best practices for design, development, fabrication, and test procedures is of utmost importance for the delivery of high quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team in the design, development, and testing of autonomous and sensor data fusion products
- Use CAD software and other mechanical design, modeling, and thermal analysis tools
- Analyze, interpret, and create technical drawings and documents for the design, fabrication and testing of mechanical housing piece parts
- Participate in design reviews, conduct design validation and qualification tests, and perform system testing
- Communicate with product design and production team members about piece part tooling, assembly, and testing
Requirements:
- BS or BA degree in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework in mechanical design using CAD software, thermodynamics, materials engineering, and piece part verification and testing
- Internship or Co-op experience or similar role
- Driven, self-motivated individual
- Strong analytical and development skills. Attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening skills, follow through and time management skills. Teamwork spirit.
