Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Technician to support offshore production operations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure safe and efficient platform operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation equipment on offshore facilities

Calibrate and maintain transmitters, control valves, analyzers, and associated control systems

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical systems (motors, MCCs, VFDs, lighting, power distribution)

Support PLCs, SCADA, and control systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.)

Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics

Participate in safety meetings, JSAs, and permit-to-work processes

Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and offshore safety standards

Assist with startups, shutdowns, and emergency troubleshooting

Maintain accurate maintenance and calibration records
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred

Minimum 5years experience as an I&E Technician in offshore or oil & gas environments

Strong knowledge of instrumentation, electrical systems, and process control equipment

Experience working in hazardous classified areas

Ability to work rotational offshore schedules

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Certifications (Preferred or Required)

Offshore safety training (BOSIET, HUET, or equivalent)

TWIC card
-
Basic Plus / SafeGulf / OSHA (as applicable)

Electrical or instrumentation certifications a plus
Physical Requirements

Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to work in offshore environmental conditions for extended periods
