Applus Angola is looking to recruit an Integrated Production Planning Senior Advisor.
This is a rotaional position.
Job Purpose
The Integrated Production Planning Sr. Advisor's primary responsibility will be to train, mentor and coach the Integrated Production Planning Managers (IPPMs) on all aspects of their role. They will also help to develop the Tactical Gas and Production Planning teams - to grow organization capabilities, improve gas supply and product forecasting accuracy, ensure quality production data reporting, enhance value-chain optimization, and
develop robust business planning strategies to drive better business outcomes and company profitability.
Role and Responsibilities
The Integrated Production Planning Senior Advisor's primary responsibility will be to train, mentor and coach the Integrated Production Planning Managers (IPPMs) in all aspects of their role.
The IPP Senior Advisor will support the IPPM and the overall team with the following:
• Mentorship & Development
o Coach IPPMs and develop emerging leaders within the national workforce.
• Operational Coordination
o Manage the gas supply scheduling, nomination and allocation processes, while ensuring that company policies, procedures, national and international regulations are followed to ensure efficient deliveries of gas to the Angola LNG Plant.
o Streamline supply coordination of associated gas from offshore blocks, demand forecasting of nonassociated gas from NGC and allocation of DomGas to Falcao.
o Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders during abnormal situations.
• Strategic Planning & Analytics
o Enhance forecasting tools and visualizations for clear insights and decision-making.
o Better identification of potential gas supply curtailment windows and seamless integration into the IOC weekly plan, 90-day lookahead, and Long- Range Operating Plan (LROP) for better project scheduling and production optimization efficiencies.
o Host engaging AIME and Gas Supply Workshops with gas suppliers, SOMG, ANPG and other stakeholders that drive good strategic alignment
and result in improved forecasting accuracy and well-optimized gas supply to maximize plant utilization. o Improve the quality and accuracy of the 3-year business plan through better development strategies, alignment on assumptions, advanced analytics and modern tools.
• Compliance
o Adherence to Gas Supply Agreements and stipulations.
o Product shipping documentation compliance with Angolan and International regulations, including customs and other mandatory legal documents
Integrated Operating Center (IOC)
o Evolve the Integrated Operations Center to build stronger partnerships with external stakeholders and promote end-to-end value-chain thinking.
o Leverage partnerships to improve plant utilization and to optimize product ship scheduling to create incremental value for the marketing business.
• Stakeholder Engagement
o Strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including Block suppliers, Marine, Cargo Surveyors, ALM, SOMG, Commercial, Tax, and Finance.
• Digital Innovation
o Ensure that the Gas Intelligent Management System (GIMS) is in compliance and optimally supports the feed gas supply/composition
nomination process.
o Develop new tools that integrate with core systems, use real-time data, and enable scenario analysis to optimize production and profitability daily.
Operations Experience:
• Experienced in oil and gas operations with 15+ years of experience.
• Experience in LNG processing plants.
• Familiarity with typical LNG gas supply, lifting and other contractual agreements.
• Knowledge of cargo loading operations, associated documentation and custody transfer requirements.
• Experience managing hydrocarbon measurements, inventory management and reporting.
• Operations knowledge in base business support.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Experience with digital tool development, utilization, and deployment.
Minimum Competency
• Language: English (fluent), Portuguese (preferred)
