Performance Energy are supporting a leading international oilfield services provider in securing experienced Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Engineers and MPD Supervisors for long-term rotational assignments across the Middle East.
This is a technically demanding contract role supporting high-profile drilling campaigns where advanced pressure control and hydraulic modelling expertise are critical to operational success.

The Opportunity
We are recruiting experienced:
Supporting Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Underbalanced Drilling (UBD) operations on active drilling programmes.
These roles are rotational, long-term contract positions with immediate mobilisation.
Key Responsibilities
MPD Supervisor
Lead all day-to-day MPD operational activities on location
Act as focal point for rig-site MPD operations and mobilisation of equipment and personnel
Oversee pressure control strategy and operational execution
Ensure compliance with company HSE and operational policies
Maintain daily communication with rig representatives, client drilling teams and third-party service providers
Provide technical oversight during critical well control and pressure events
MPD Engineer (Field Engineer)
Execute and supervise MPD field engineering operations
Operate and troubleshoot industry-standard MPD control systems
Install and operate Rotating Control Devices (RCD)
Connect and configure sensors to data acquisition systems
Perform real-time data monitoring, interpretation and system optimisation
Conduct hydraulic modelling including:
Single-phase modelling
Multiphase modelling
Steady-state analysis
Transient simulations
Support kick detection, pressure management and well control response
Technical Requirements
Minimum 5+ years' Managed Pressure Drilling experience
Strong rig-site operational background
Proven experience in hydraulic modelling (single-phase & multiphase; steady-state & transient)
Experience operating MPD control systems and RCD equipment
Confident in pressure control philosophy and kick detection procedures
Client-facing communication capability
Adaptable and operationally focused mindset
Mandatory Certification
(Level 4 certification is essential for both Engineer and Supervisor positions.)

Rotational pattern: 35/35 or 6/3
Contract duration: 12+ months
Start date: Immediate mobilisation
Contract type: Long-term contract
