Temp, Cambridge, $32-$38/hr.
The Temp Junior Electrical Plumbing Engineer will work under the guidance of Senior Engineers and Project Managers, focusing on the trade for which they were hired. This role is suited for someone with MEP experience who is looking to gain hands-on exposure to design documents, existing-condition surveys, code compliance, and construction support.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing construction documents, including drawings, schedules, details, and specifications for MEP/FP systems.
- Support senior engineers in the design phase, including calculations (thermal load analysis, airflow, hydraulic, electrical loads, etc).
- Participate in existing-condition site surveys, documenting field conditions and comparing them against design intent.
- Assist in the review of contractor submittals, shop drawings, and product data.
- Attend project kickoff and coordination meetings to understand project goals, budget, and timelines.
Minim um Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field).
- Up to 1-2 years of relevant experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Fire Protection engineering.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam, or BlM tools, FE/ElT Certification is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to perform field visits as needed.
