Job Summary:-
We are seeking highly skilled Azure Data Engineers or Azure Data Architects with strong, hands-on experience in building, optimizing, and managing big data and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across Azure services, Spark, Scala, SQL Server, Synapse, and preferably Azure DevOps. Experience with Microsoft technologies is a strong plus.
Candidates applying for the Architect role should demonstrate strong solution design capabilities. Senior-level Azure Data Engineers with extensive Azure expertise will also be considered for architect-level responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Scala.
- Develop ELT/ETL processes within the Azure ecosystem (Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, etc.).
- Architect and implement data models, data lakes, and data warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Work extensively with SQL Server, including performance tuning and complex query design.
- Integrate and orchestrate data workflows using Azure services (ADF, Logic Apps, Functions, etc.).
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement DevOps practices (CI/CD, version control, automation) using Azure DevOps.
- Ensure data security, compliance, governance, and best practices across cloud-based data platforms.
- Troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure, performance issues, and data processing jobs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or Data Architect.
- Extensive hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, Azure Functions, Key Vault, etc.)
- Apache Spark (mandatory)
- Scala programming
- Azure Synapse Analytics
- SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, optimization)
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, data lake and data warehouse design.
- Experience working in PST time zone.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Data Architect or senior engineering role.
- Experience with broader Microsoft technologies (Power BI, Purview, SSIS, SSAS is a plus).
- Certifications such as:
- Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
