Qualifications:
The Project Engineering position consists of multiple disciplines. Assignment of duties will be determined by Sr. Project Manager per project, based on individual strengths, knowledge and project requirements. All should have a basic but a growing understanding of material fabrication methods such as welding, heat treating, nondestructive examination, metal roll forming, cutting, machining, and other industry practices common to the metal fabrication industry. Personnel shall be capable of interpreting ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, ASTM Standards and AWS Structural Welding Codes. A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and some experience with scheduling software (MS Project / Primavera) & CAD software (preferably Inventor or Tekla) are preferred.

Responsibilities will consist of (but are not limited to):

Coordination of Engineering documents for Fabrication Projects.

Assist with the development of travelers, procedures, or other technical documents.

Coordinating project activities with all departments responsible for specific project activities including those performed by subcontractors, consultants, and clients.

Coordinate with Quality Assurance on all project matters affecting quality.
-
Assist in the coordination of hold point inspection activities.
-
Coordinating and tracking contract documents, transmittals, and communications with subcontractors, customers, and DNES quality assurance and sales personnel and between different customer organizations.

Technical communications with Customers and Vendors.
-
Assist in establishing a production schedule.

Coordinate schedule needs with suppliers.
-
Expediting fabrication activities.
-
Meet production schedule.
-
Contract Development and performance.
-
Assist in developing estimated budgets and project durations.

Work within Quoted Budget.
-
Review of Request for Quote information for fabrication requirements.

Interpretation of customer design, fabrication, or procurement specifications and drawings.

Determine procurement requirements for starting materials.
-
Develop processing requirements (Manufacturing Plans) for fabrication projects, minimizing errors and maximizing efficiency.

Assist with conditional releases or re-work of non-conforming items.

Assist fabrication personnel with technical support and trouble shooting.

Schedule: 8-hour shift (M-F, with potential for overtime)
