Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and drive excellence in our manufacturing processes. Responsibilities
- Knowledge and experience in Kaizen and other foundations of Lean Manufacturing that will drive continuous improvement programs.
- Participate in the maintenance and adherence to efforts by the company to reduce and eliminate any unnecessary cost overruns on damaged equipment.
- Current working knowledge of systems production equipment and other engineering and manufacturing practices.
- Conduct process engineering activities including CNC programming, CAM programming, and schematic creation for industrial equipment.
- Assists with safety improvements and ensures shop work environment is efficient.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and elevate product quality in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on factory layout planning, tooling design, vision inspection systems, and industrial equipment upgrades.
- Support factory experience initiatives by training staff on new processes and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Utilize mechanical engineering knowledge to troubleshoot mechanical issues on the shop floor and develop solutions for complex manufacturing challenges.
Experience
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility or industrial engineering environment with a focus on process development or optimization.
- Strong background in mechanical knowledge related to assembly lines, robotics, fabrication techniques, tooling design, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Creo for schematics and design modifications.
- Familiarity with CNC programming (including G-code), CAM programming, vision inspection systems, and robot programming is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies, continuous improvement practices, and ISO 9001 standards is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on complex issues involving manufacturing processes or machinery failures.
- Experience with project scheduling tools to coordinate multiple initiatives efficiently while meeting deadlines.
