We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join a top microelectronic team. Can be as early as recent graduates or a senior citizen, must be able to prove having an eye for molded parts. Candidate must be able to keep up with senior mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, industrial designers and regulatory advisors. Candidate has a keen interest in hands-on testing, experimental electronics, and system simulations. You will assist in 3D modeling, printing, assembly, running tests on novel microelectronics, and supporting engineering and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Fusion or Solidworks 3D modeling. (Keyshot a plus.) Microelectronic assembly. Laboratory testing and possibly travel.
- Great teammate who can keep a cool head under pressure and be trusted with confidential information.
- Run simulations and/or bench top testing, assist in experimental validation.
- Collect, document, and analyze test data
- Support engineering development and troubleshooting efforts
- Collaborate with engineers and technical staff on research and development projects
Required Qualifications
- Basic proficiency in mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals, great eye for detail, how things move and connect. Thermal, rugged or medical engineering experience a plus.
- 1–2 years of hands-on lab or engineering experience (internships and co-op experience accepted)
- College-level education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Experience can nullify education requirement
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Not easily defeated by negative notes. Respectful at all times.
- Software or programming skills are a plus
