Data Engineer

Your Role and Impact
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Data Engineer is a high impact role that will directly enable business leaders to make faster and more informed business judgements based on the datasets you build. You will be responsible for developing our data warehouse by evaluating, cleansing, and transforming our data into actionable and consumable reports and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Develop and manage scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Automate data processing and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and data integrity. Develop software programs, algorithms, and automated processes that cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, data insights, and other business outcomes.
- Develop visualizations to make your sophisticated analyses accessible to a broad audience. Identify and create key metrics and dashboards to track program success.
- Develop and manage scalable, automated, and fault-tolerant data solutions using technologies such as Spark, EMR, Python, Redshift, Glue, and S3.
- Set up and manage API connections for data streams. Develop strategies to query, prioritize, and optimize datasets. Data refinement, migration, and merging datasets together.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a data engineer.
- Experience with NetSuite and NSAW preferred.
- Experience with technologies such as: SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR, Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks.
- Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R).
- You appreciate the importance of schema design, and can evolve an analytics schema on top of unstructured data.
- You are a champion for data privacy and integrity, and always act in the best interest of consumers.
- Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree in computer science, statistics, information systems, or a related, technical field.
