The Opportunity:
● We are looking for a full-time Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This person will engineer power, lighting and low voltage systems, and go out to existing and new building work sites. The right candidate will be detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively with other design team members. Previous client and project management experience is preferred.
● This is an in-office, full-time position with salary compensation, bonus opportunity and excellent benefits.
Job Responsibilities:
● Take on growing responsibility designing commercial, medical, multi-family, and public building electrical systems. Project management level experience is preferred.
● Work closely with other team members, 60% of your time doing engineering calculations and using Autodesk Revit for 3D electrical systems modeling, 20% managing projects in and out of the office, and 20% of your time on job sites for initial investigation or construction observations of these systems.
● Conducting existing building investigations and documenting existing electrical systems.
● Assisting in and/or leading design meetings with architects, owners, and clients.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
● PE license required
● Excellent listening skills to apply the direction provided by Principals for design of building systems
● Excellent attention to detail and checks own work
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Five years experience in Revit electrical systems modeling. Five years AutoCAD 2D drafting of electrical systems is helpful, but Revit experience is preferred
● Able to manage time and multiple project priorities well
● The ideal candidate will be a mechanical professional engineer with prior commercial building electrical systems engineering and project management experience.
