Work Schedule
- Rotation: 14 days on / 6 days off
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Split Rotation:
- 7 consecutive day shifts
- 7 consecutive night shifts
- Rotation begins on Thursday to assist with balancing weekly overtime
Position Summary
The Equipment Readiness Technician is responsible for ensuring equipment is prepared, certified, and delivered on time in accordance with operational requirements. This role supports asset reliability, increases equipment utilization and efficiency, and contributes to reducing the Cost of Service Delivery (CoSD). The position works closely with Equipment Readiness Leads and Engineers to ensure all equipment meets operational and compliance standards prior to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Equipment Readiness Lead and Engineer with equipment preparation for field jobs.
- Execute assigned Work Orders (WOs), typically involving non-invasive maintenance and final preparation of surface and downhole equipment and ready boxes.
- Verify the status and validity of equipment certifications and calibrations.
- Perform or assist with final equipment function testing, including but not limited to calibration, inspection, certification, and verification. This may include:
- Wireline Operational Combination Checks
- Pressure testing
- Measurement calibration
- Metrological inspections
- Accurately execute and document WOs within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring compliance with standard work processes and data completeness.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain required documentation related to calibrations, function tests, material certifications, inspections, and third-party quality control activities when applicable.
- Prepare equipment and critical spare parts for shipment and staging at predetermined locations or loading zones.
- Load equipment onto trucks when base, operational planning support, or Equipment Readiness Operators/Technicians are unavailable.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, contributing to initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, equipment readiness, CoSD, and asset utilization.
- Comply with Division Technology Lifecycle Management standards and the Competency Management System at all times.
Experience Requirements
- Entry-level position
- Prior experience in forklift operation and industrial warehouse environments is preferred but not required
Required Skills and Competencies
- Forklift operation (standard and specialty forklifts; training provided if needed)
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong self-motivation and reliability

Training
- New hires are required to attend NEST Training in Kellyville, Oklahoma
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting of tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs individually
- Team lifting of loads up to 100 lbs
- Repetitive loading and unloading of equipment into shipping crates
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and forklift operation throughout shifts
