Shift & Hours
- 12-hour shifts
- Rotational schedule:
- 8 days on / 4 days off
- 8 nights on / 4 days off
Assignment Duration: 6 Months with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee (FTE)
This is a Light Industrial position. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Williston area.
Mandatory Requirement: The selected candidate must be able to attend new employee training in Oklahoma for one (1) week.
Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable Product and Service Delivery (PSD) to customers. The role involves identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, conducting quality assurance testing on company products, preparing laboratory reports prior to wellsite operations, and providing advanced technical support related to additive selection and fluid design.
The Laboratory Technician will maintain close communication with Client Support Laboratories, operating locations, product centers, and the InTouch repository to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all job deliverables are accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Develop the competency required to perform advanced additive selection and fluid design
- Perform quality assurance testing on company products
- Prepare laboratory reports prior to service delivery at the wellsite
- Maintain laboratory equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition
- Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with standards
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct regular audits to ensure laboratory compliance with required standards
- Provide technical support to Design/Technical Engineers and Product Champions as needed
- Perform risk analysis prior to each task to identify and mitigate safety or quality risks
- Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and contribute to performance improvement action plans
- Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Quality initiatives
- Comply with all HSE policies, including the consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain all required safety training and certifications
Experience & Skills
- Entry-level position; no minimum years of experience required (training will be provided)
- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing setting is a plus
Education & Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
