Fuel your passionAs a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for all resources and logistics necessary to perform maintenance services and activities at customer facilities or properties. This includes all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), maintenance facility management, and field service engineering. You will contribute to the development of an annual operating plan for the team's own department activities. You will suggest improvements to products, processes, and procedures.
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities - Degreed engineers. All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities for installed fleets and supervision for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment, able to be performed at customer site. Includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnostics. Able to make Engineering decisions.
- Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
- Handles standardized project processes. Guidelines for choosing the right actions. Some latitude in ways of working and planning.
- Handles targeted clients. Works on the basis of predefined contracts and frameworks. Some latitude to deviate from those conditions.
- Wireline Field Engineer with 5 to 10 years of solid field experience to support offshore operations in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche.
- We are looking for a proven field professional with strong operational maturity, hands-on execution capability, and the confidence to perform under demanding offshore conditions.
- The ideal candidate must bring real experience in wireline operations, with practical exposure to open hole and/or cased hole services, strong troubleshooting ability, and a disciplined approach to job planning, execution, and post-job reporting.
- The role requires someone who can operate effectively in front of the customer, coordinate with offshore crews, respond to operational challenges, and consistently deliver safe, high-quality service.
- Previous experience with Baker Hughes is highly desirable, as it usually reflects strong technical and operational discipline; however, this is not a limitation.
Required Qualifications - 5 to 10 years of experience in wireline field operations
- Strong exposure to offshore operations
- Experience in open hole, cased hole, logging and perforating
- Solid background in wellsite execution, troubleshooting, reporting, and client coordination
- Strong HSE mindset, service quality focus, and operational discipline
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistently in field environments
- Target candidate profile:
A mid-career Wireline Field Engineer, strong technical judgment, operational discipline, and the ability to execute, troubleshoot, and represent the service line with confidence offshore.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Services).
Desired Characteristics - Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Strong problem solving skills.
