Job Summary
Archer Labs is a small business that is developing advanced technologies including vacuum electron devices, high power microwave sources, pulsed power systems, and related RF technologies seeking an engineer with lab experience. The engineer will oversee technical projects from concept through delivery, ensuring schedules are executed on time, risk mitigated, and technical objectives are met. This role is also is responsible for working with a team to manufacture, simulate, model, test, set up and operate equipment, record notes, monitor, and measure for product acceptance. This position also performs tasks while working in accordance with general objectives while improving processes, equipment, and methods. Communication with the Engineering lead or others is crucial.

Duties
- Planning, execution and delivery of engineering and technical development projects.
- Perform manufacturing of parts, equipment, visual, mechanical and/or electrical assembly, inspection of parts, subassemblies, completed assemblies, production processes, final inspections, and acceptance tests on internally and externally manufactured items.
- Operates machinery, connects test cables, perform troubleshooting, and follows detailed inspection/test instructions.
- Proficient in Solidworks and/or CST.
- Performs work in-process reviews during the assembly process as specified in a record of assembly.
- Participates in the establishment of in-process and final quality control and inspection criteria methods for acceptance of the final product.
- Ensures control of product per required documentation, forms, numbering, labeling, and assessment of tightly controlled items and applicable training.
- Observes the use and handling requirements of microwaves and other hazardous materials.
- Improves and refines existing fixtures, measurement and test equipment, methods, process steps, procedures, implementing changes as necessary. Evaluates drawings for correctness of product acceptance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
- Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
- Minimum of a bachelors in an engineering field to include electrical, physics or relevant field
- 4-7 years of experience as a technician, engineer, or equivalent technical manufacturing position
- United States Citizenship
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
- Ability to pass a drug test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with defense, aerospace, or government projects.
- Experience working with vacuum, high-voltage and pulsed-power.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability in decision making, organizing, and problem solving.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
